Abstract

  • Bangka Belitung Islands economy in 2014 as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached USD 56384.6 billion and GDP per capita reached USD 41.9 million
  • Bangka Belitung Islands economy grew 4.68 percent in 2014 slowed down compared to the year 2013, which amounted to 5.22 percent. On the production side, the highest growth by Business Sector Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of 9.24 percent. From the expenditure side the highest growth achieved by Component Consumption Expenditure of Non Profit amounted to 12.79 percent.
  • Economic Bangka Belitung fourth quarter of 2014 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2013 (y-on-y) grew by 4.75 per cent increase when compared to the same period the previous year of 4.23 percent.
  • Economic Bangka Belitung fourth quarter of 2014 when compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) still grew by 1.04 per cent, although not as high as the growth of III-2014 triiwulan. On the production side, this is due to the improved performance of the undertaking of the processing industry and growing menggeliatnya field services business. From the expenditure side due to an increase in almost all expenditure components.
  • Economic growth in the island of Sumatra in 2014 only reached 4.66 per cent, tend to slow down compared to the year 2013 which reached 4.97 percent. Budgetary austerity policies became one of the causes of the slowdown in economic growth. On the other hand, the global economic slowdown that has had implications for Indonesia including Sumatra.
