Abstract

  • On June 2015 Pangkalpinang deflation of 0.14 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 117.90 after earlier also experienced deflation in May 2014 which amounted to 0.61 percent with CPI of 118.06
  • Deflation occurs due to a decrease in the price indicated by the decline in the index in two groups namely foodstuffs expenditure amounted to 1.30 per cent and clothing by 0.09 percent. Expenditure groups increased the index is processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.14 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel 0.37 percent; health group by 0.65 percent; education, recreation, and sport 0.12 percent; as well as transport, communication and financial services 0.28 percent.
  • Calendar year inflation rate in June 2015 was a deflation of 0.30 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (June 2015 to June 2014) by 6.12 percent.
  • The core components in June 2015 contributed to deflation of 0.24 percent. While the volatile components contributed 0.01 percent to the inflation as well as the components that cost is set by the government also contributed inflation of 0.09 percent.
