April 2017, Pangkalpinang Municipality Experiencing Inflation 1.02 Percent

Abstract

In April 2017 Pangkalpinang Municipality experienced inflation of 1.02 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 136.08 after the previous March 2017 also experienced inflation of 0.38 percent with CPI of 134.70.

Inflation was due to price increases as indicated by the rise in index in the four expenditure groups, namely the foodstuff category by 0.57 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.28 percent; Clothing by 0.19 percent; And transportation, communication and financial services group by 5.33 percent. While the group of finished food, beverage, cigarette, and tobacco deflation by 0,05 percent; Followed by health group by 0,24 percent; As well as the education, recreation and sports group by 0.02 percent.

The inflation rate for calendar year April 2017 is inflation of 2.01 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (April 2017 to April 2016) of 9.26 percent.

Contribution of each component to inflation in this month that is; A component whose price is set by the government of inflation of 1.10 percent; Volatile components experienced inflation of 0.08 percent; While the deflation core component was 0.16 percent.

Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province April 2017 experienced inflation of 1.00 percent with CPI 135.83.

Based on price observations during April 2017, 82 CPI cities in Indonesia showed that 33 cities experienced inflation and 49 deflationary cities. The highest inflation occurred in Pangkalpinang City of 1.02 percent with CPI 136.08 and Singaraja's highest deflation at 1.08 percent with CPI 136.83.
