Abstract

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Province of Bangka Belitung in August 2017 was 29,932 people. This number decreased by 6.13 percent compared with 31,885 people in the previous month (Table 1). A decrease in the number of guests occurred in domestic guests by 7.16 percent (2,243 people), while foreign guests increased by 50.52 percent (290 people).

The star-class room occupancy rate (TPK) of a star classification hotel in the province of Bangka Belitung in August 2017 reached an average of 37.43 percent, down 3.58 points compared to the July 2003 TPP of 38.82 percent.

The highest star-rated hotels by district in August 2017 are Belitung regency (43.26 percent), followed by Bangka Tengah regency (41.64 percent), Pangkalpinang city (27.54 percent) and Bangka Regency 26.77 percent .

In August 2017, the average length of stay of total guests in the star classification hotel for 1.88 days increased 0.13 points compared to the previous month. During August, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.42 days) was 0.13 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.87 days)
