Abstract

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the province of Bangka Belitung in September 2017 was 31,346 people. This number increased by 4.72 percent compared with the previous month's total of 29,932 people (Table 1). The increase in the number of guests occurred in domestic guests by 5.14 percent (1,495 people), while foreign guests were down by 9.38 percent (81 people).

Room Classification Rate (TPK) of a star classification hotel in the province of Bangka Belitung in September 2017 reached an average of 42.45 percent, up 5.02 points compared to the August 2012 TPK of 37.73 percent.

The highest number of star-rated hotels by district in September 2017 was in Bangka Tengah Regency (53.94 percent), followed by Belitung Regency (45.09 percent), Pangkalpinang city (35.05 percent) and Bangka Regency27.70 percent.

In September 2017, the average length of stay of total guests overall in the star classification hotel for 1.93 days, an increase of 0.05 points compared to the previous month. During September, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.93 days) was 1.03 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.90 days)
