Abstract

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the province of Bangka Belitung in October 2017 recorded 31,780 people. This number increased by 1.38 percent compared to the previous month's total number of 31,346 people (Table 1). The increase in the number of guests occurred in domestic guests by 1.41 percent (431 people), and foreign guests by 0.38 percent (3 people).

Room Classification Rate (TPK) of a star classification hotel in the province of Bangka Belitung in October 2017 reached an average of 38.48 percent, down 3.97 points compared to September 2017 at 42.45 percent.

The highest number of star-rated hotels by district in October 2017 is in Bangka Tengah Regency (53.38 percent), followed by Belitung regency (43.91 percent), Pangkalpinang city (23.33 percent) and Bangka Regency21.01 percent.

In October 2017, the average length of stay of total guests overall in the star classification hotels for 1.71 days, a decrease of 0.22 points compared to the previous month. During October, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.48 days) was 0.79 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.69 days)
