Abstract

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands in November 2017 recorded 32,504 people. This number increased by 2.28 percent compared with the previous month's total number of 31,780 people (Table 1). The increase in the number of guests occurred in domestic guests by 3.40 percent (1,053 people), while in foreign guests fell by 41.86 percent (329 people).

Room Classification Rate (TPK) of a star classification hotel in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands in November 2017 reached an average of 39.72 percent, up by 1.24 points compared to October 2017 which was recorded at 38.48 percent.

The highest number of star-rated hotels by district in November 2017 is in Central Bangka Regency (52.73 percent), followed by Belitung Regency (43.69 percent), Pangkalpinang City (31.51 percent), and Bangka Regency at 19.55 percent.

In November 2017, the average length of stay of total guests overall in the star classification hotel for 1.68 days, a decline of 0.03 points compared to the previous month. During November, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.34 days) was 0.67 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.67 days)
