Abstract

A. Export Development

The export value of Bangka Belitung Islands province in December 2017 reached US $ 187.3 million, up 10.16 percent compared to December 2016 export value.
Non-traded exports rose 41.01 percent, while tin fell 0.42 percent (y-on-y).
Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports increased by 8.23 percent. Nontimah exports increased by 86.41 percent, but tin dropped by 10.09 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from January to December 2017 reached US $ 1,801.9 million. The role of tin reached 77.19 percent.
Singapore absorbs 35.23 percent (US $ 445.6 million) of tin exports, while Australia absorbs 16.76 percent (US $ 68.9 million) of non-commercial exports.
The value of mineral fuel exports (HS 27) in January-December 2017 amounted to US $ 190.9 million or 46.45 percent of total exports of the province of Bangka Belitung Province.

B. Development of Import

The import value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2017 amounted to US $ 3.8 million, down 25.43 percent compared to December 2016. So, imports from January to December 2017 to US $ 74.4 million.
As many as 75.30 percent of imports from January to December 2017 in the form of oil and gas.
Non-oil and gas imports from January to December 2017 are dominated by ships and floating buildings (HS 89) of 47.96 percent (US $ 8.8 million).
Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 31.6 million (42.47 percent)
