A. Tourism Growth

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands in March 2018 was recorded at 38,857 people. This number increased by 22.79 compared to the previous month's number of guests totaling 31,646 people. The number of guests was below 10.57 percent while the number of domestic guests rose by 23.66 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands in March 2018 resulted in an average of 43.58 percent, up 7.93 points compared to the February 2011 TPK of 35.65 percent.
TPK of large-scale hotels by regency / municipality in March 2018 is in Central Bangka Regency of 63.68 percent, followed by Belitung regency (47.77 percent), Pangkalpinang (36.49 percent), and Kabupaten Bangka 17.35 percent.
In March 2018, the average length of total total guests in the star rated hotels for 1.79 days, an increase of 0.11 points compared to the previous month. During March 2018, the average length of guest (2.49 days) was 0.67 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.82 days).
B. Development of Transportation

The number of passengers traveling between the islands departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2018 was recorded at 7.10 thousand people, down 13.20 percent compared to February 2018 which reached 8.18 thousand people. Period compared to the same period in the previous year (January-March 2017), the number of passengers increased by 15.13 percent.
The number of passenger sea transport passengers arriving in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands in March 2018 recorded as many as 8.51 thousand people. That number fell by 0.54 percent compared to the previous month. The same period last year (January-March 2017) oncoming passenger flows of 16.58 percent.
The volume of goods loaded in March 2018 was 707.68 thousand tons, up by 34.10 percent compared to February 2018 which amounted to 527,74 thousand tons.
