Abstract

In April 2018 Kota Pangkalpinang experienced inflation of 1.01 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 139.31.
Inflation was attributable to rising prices as indicated by the rise of some expenditure group indexes: the finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.01 percent; housing, water, electricity and fuel group by 0.02 percent; clothing group by 0.43 percent; health group by 0.39 percent; as well as the transport, communications and financial services group of 7.20 percent.
Expenditure groups that experienced a drop in index were foodstuffs by 0.30 percent and leisure education, and sports by 0.05 percent.
The April 2018 calendar year inflation rate is 1.72 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2018 to April 2017) is 2.37 percent.
The core component in April 2018 experienced deflation of 0.04 percent; volatile component deflation by 0.11 percent; and government regulated inflation component by 5.40 percent.
Province of Bangka Belitung Islands April 2018 experienced inflation of 0.55 percent with CPI 139.31.
