Abstract

  • The number of workforce in August 2018 reached 727,918 people, up by 28,901 people compared to the total workforce in August 2017, which amounted to 699,017 people. When compared with the February 2018 period, there were 29,022 people which decreased by 756,940.
  •  The number of people working in August 2018 increased compared to August 2017, which rose by 28,748 people. In August 2018 the number of people working was 701,366 people, while in August 2017 there were 672,618 people.
  • The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2018 was 3.65 percent, down 0.13 percentage points compared to TPT in August 2017. The August 2018 TPT was higher by 0.03 points percent compared to February 2018 TPT of 3.61 percent.
  • The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in August 2018 amounted to 67.79 percent, up by 1.07 points percent compared to LFPR in August 2017 of 66.72 percent.
  • In August 2018, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was highest in the Diploma education group and above, which amounted to 5.90 percent. While the unemployment rate at the high school / vocational school level is 5.53 percent, junior high school is lower by 2.33 percent.
