Abstract

A. EXPORT DEVELOPMENT

The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2019 is worth US $ 124.2 million, down 20.56 percent compared to the export value in March 2018.
The value of tin exports fell by 7.39 percent and non-tin fell by 51.35 percent (y-on-y).
Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports rose by 2.78 percent. Tin exports rose 2.52 percent, and non-rice also rose by 4.00 percent.
During January-March 2019, Singapore absorbed 41.71 percent (US $ 111.4 million) of tin exports, while Australia absorbed 31.63 percent (US $ 23.0 million) of non-export exports.
The export value of mineral fuels (HS 27) in January-March 2019 amounted to US $ 33.2 million or 45.59 percent of the total non-export exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

B. DEVELOPMENT OF IMPORTS

The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in March 2019 amounted to US $ 1.9 million, down 71.56 percent compared to March 2018. Then, imports from January to March 2019 became US $ 4.1 million.
As many as 24.46 percent of imports from January to March 2019 were in the form of oil and gas.
Non-oil and gas imports from January to March 2019 were dominated by mechanical / aircraft engines (HS 84) of 79.80 percent (US $ 2.5 million).
In January-March 2019, Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 2.0 million (49.95 percent).
