Abstract

  • The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) of the Bangka Belitung Islands in Quarter I-2019 amounted to 106.03. This means that consumers are optimistic about the economic conditions in the first quarter of 2019 compared to quarter IV-2018.
  • Consumer optimism in Quarter I-2019 was influenced by three ITK forming variables, namely the Consumption Volume Index (116.84), the Current Income Index (100.41), and the Inflation Inflation Index on the consumption level (108.06).
  • The ITK value of the Bangka Belitung Islands in Quarter II-2019 is estimated at 132.73. Consumers tend to be optimistic about the economic conditions in the coming quarter.
  • The Upcoming Revenue Index is estimated at 150.93. Consumers are optimistic that their income in quarter II-2019 will be better than in quarter I-2019. In addition, consumers have plans to purchase durable, recreational or party / celebration goods with a Durable, Recreational and Party / Celebration Purchase Index value of 100.82.
