Abstract

On March 2015 Pangkalpinang deflation of 0.46 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 117.77 after earlier also experienced deflation in February 2014, amounting to 0.89 percent with CPI of 118.32.

Deflation occurs because of the deterioration in the price indicated by the decline in the index in two groups namely foodstuffs expenditure of 4.65 percent and 0.51 percent health. While four groups of expenditure inflation that is the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 2.31 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel 0.63 percent; clothing group by 0.05 percent; as well as transport, communication and financial services 1.33 percent. While education, recreation, and sport stable.

The inflation rate in March 2015 calendar year was deflation of 0.41 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (March 2015 to March 2014) amounted to 6.56 percent.

The core components on the March 2015 inflation contributed 0.32 percent and the volatile components of inflation of 1.48 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government contributed to deflation of 0.85 percent.
