Abstract

In June 2017 Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 1.16 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 136.38 after the previous May 2017 experienced deflation of 0.93 percent with CPI of 134.81.

Inflation was attributable to an increase in prices indicated by rising indexes in six expenditure categories ie foodstuff category by 0.14 percent; Finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.18 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel inflation by 0.32 percent; Health group by 0.07 percent; Education, recreation and sports group by 0.01 percent; As well as the transport, communication and financial services group by 6.71 percent. The deflationary clothing group was 0.01 percent.

The inflation rate for calendar year up to June 2017 was inflation at 2.23 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2017 to June 2016) was 7.33 percent.

Contribution of each component to inflation this month ie; A component whose price is set by the government's inflation of 1.16 percent; Volatile components experienced inflation of 0.02 percent; While the deflation core component was 0.02 percent.

The province of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung in June 2017 experienced inflation of 1.40 percent with CPI of 137.33.

Based on price monitoring during June 2017, 82 Indonesian CPI cities in Indonesia showed that 79 cities experienced inflation and 3 deflationary cities. The highest inflation occurred in Tual City of 4.48 percent with CPI 150.91 and the highest deflation of Singaraja City by 0.64 percent with CPI 136.45.
