Abstract

A. EXPORT DEVELOPMENT

The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2019 is worth US $ 123.2 million, up 2.05 percent compared to the export value in April 2018.
The value of tin exports rose by 20.97 percent, while non-tin dropped 46.43 percent (y-on-y).
Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports fell by 0.83 percent. Non-export exports fell 20.35 percent, while tin exports rose 3.55 percent.
During January-April 2019, Singapore absorbed 49.08 percent (US $ 182.7 million) of tin exports, while Australia absorbed 25.32 percent (US $ 23.0 million) of non-agricultural exports.
The export value of animal / vegetable fats & oils (HS 15) in January-April 2019 dominated by US $ 40.4 million or 44.42 percent of the total non-export exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

B. DEVELOPMENT OF IMPORTS

The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2019 was US $ 0.5 million, down 85.82 percent compared to April 2018. Thus, imports from January to April 2019 became US $ 4.6 million.
A total of 21.80 percent of imports in January-April 2019 were oil and gas.
Non-oil and gas imports from January to April 2019 were dominated by machinery / mechanical aircraft (HS 84) of 78.96 percent (US $ 2.8 million).
In January-April 2019, Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 2.2 million (49.05 percent).
